Kari Sam Wuhrer, born on 28th April 1968 is an American Actress and Singer. She began her professional career as a teenager. She is famous for her character of Maggie Beckett in the television show Sliders as well as her role as Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), a payroll accountant, and German American Andrew Wuhrer, a police officer and auto salesman. There are three of her siblings. In her teens she was a nightclub performer by sneaking from the house. After studying acting at the Wooster School, at the age of 13, she was a drama student at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts located at Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. She also studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under the famed Uta Hagen. Her birthplace was in Brookfield on the 28th of April on the 28th of April, 1967.
